The company has revealed that the new commercial content recommendation feature will be available on Realme smartphones Developed by ColorOS 6.0 E above. That means exactly like Xiaomi smartphones, Realme users will be able to see ads on smartphones.
The company says the content recommendation will boost applications and commercial links, which is exactly what Xiaomi is doing with its MIUI operating system. However, Realme users will see ads in two places – the Page Manager app and the Security Check page. The latter will appear when the user installs new applications. For reference, Xiaomi also displays ads on its Mi Security app when looking for new apps installed on the Xiaomi smartphone.
Therefore, ads displayed prominently on ColorOS 6.0 Operating on Realme smartphones. However, there is a way in which these annoying ads or so-called recommendations can be removed.
How to disable ads on Realme smartphones?
The process is very simple and you need to follow the following steps:
- Open the settings menu and go to additional settings.
- There you will see the option “Get recommendations”. Click on this option.
- After clicking this option, you will see an option that says “Receive recommendations and content from applications in system applications, such as Download Manager”. Turn off the switch.
