As shown, the amount of cores and threads do not change entire the range, just as it has been in the past.
Predictably, there is a big jump in clock frequency from the Intel Core m3 to Intel Core i5 models, but Intel processors have artificially crippled the Intel Core i5 model by slightly reducing the cache size to 3MB. Both the Intel Core m3 and the Intel Core i5 models have failed the Time Spy test which also happens to be the newest and the most stressful test of this group. Time Spy test needs more V-Ram to run the entire test clean and complete.

The results are pretty clear – there is a small incremental improvement going from the Intel Core m3 to the Intel Core i5. But by far the most significant gaps exist between the Intel Core i5 and the Intel Core i7 models.

The results here show that the Intel Core i5 performs much better than the Intel Core m3 in both tests. The Intel Core i7, on the other hand, only returns a slight advantage over the Intel Core i5.

Intel Core i9 is a workhorse compared to the Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i7 cores. The use of Intel Core i9 is usually for professional workers or very maniac gamers.
